Contemporary charts and kits

Post by bolshiegirl »

Hi All

Just wondering whether someone can point me in the right online direction for charts and kits that are more graphic and/or contemporary than the usual designs. I can see that a lot of people love to stitch fairies, dragons, puppies etc. - each to their own -but those kinds of designs are just not my cup of tea.
Are there any designers or companies out there on the web who specialise in more modern charts and kits? I was thinking that if I can't track down what I want, I can always buy PC Stitch or a similar program and have a bash at designing my own! :D

Maia Cross stitch collection (SewandSo)

I've always thought the Maia cross stitches are quite modern-esque, they do have some really good bold yet simple designs as well as cross stitches of all the different cultures

Also, Busy-B is stitching a fractal bookmark, check out her SAL thread, that may give you some ideas, too. Here:

hi,
i sell modern cross stitch kits if you are still interested. I love stitching cute kits but then i kept finding that there was nowhere suitable to display them so that's why i specialise in modern designs - they seem to be becoming more popular.

Hello Mr X Stitch :) Love your designs! 8) Especially like your 'whatever' design (my daughters fave phrase!). Do you supply any made up kits?
