Had the first meeting of my stitching group on Tuesday, and it went really well! Two ladies came who know each other already and have been stitching for years, and another who lives just around the corner from me and had never stitched anything before in her life, was just looking for something to do in the evenings. A couple of her work colleagues stitch so they got her in to it. Hopefully next week at least one more lady will be coming, she had car trouble this week - but she works in a garage on Saturdays so they're fixing her car for her at reasonable rates!
One of the ladies has a son who works as a security guy for McVities, so she gets nice biscuits for dirt cheap
Everyone had fun and got on well, and we're meeting again next Tuesday. SQUEE!

"The world, as a colourful knot of threads, has turned into a memory, and now you cannot be sure whether it was real." (Géza Ottlik, Hungarian writer)
From what people were saying last week, and the positive response I got from emailing Janet-with-car-trouble, I think this might really be a good and happy and long term thing Of course it might also fall apart yet, but I'm staying positive
