Here's an update...

I have finished the MS hedgehog and it will be a surprise to someone special who shared with me something equally special :dance: :wub: :) ....

...and I finished another one for my friend who had always been kind to me...it's a free design from DMC....

Lovely work - the hedgehog is very cute and I liked the "thanks" piece with the little blue stitched on butterfly, that's a nice touch.

Small projects can be so fun. They make up quick but they look so good. Love the colors(varigated) you chose for the black work butterfly.

I'm enjoying stitching the blackwork butterfly...the chart came from Jilly and I'm really thankful for it! I decided to use DMC variations thread with shades of pinks and yellows. :)

I have another update...

I've finished the Blackwork Butterfly using DMC variations thread ...and loved it!

...and I've started on my Christmas projects...and finished the first one - Pooh with santa hat :dance: ...I've used DMC Rayon thread for the whites and has had a really hard time keeping the 2 strands laying flat and straight together as they are slippery and tends to twist so much :doh: ...but I sticked to it as I do like the bright white shade of it..and with patience (oooh, so much of it, I must say! :roll: ) I managed to get it done! :dance: :lol:

...and I have currently started on an equally special one which was a kit - a gift from SusanF - Butterflies and Blossoms.. :)

I'll get back to my series of scientifically named butterflies after the Butterflies and Blossoms project...and will also work on some Christmas projects alternately. :)

It feels so good having these mini projects in-between...I should have done this long before....I'm used to just working on large ones until it's finished. :)
