I'm late to this thread - your pirate ship is fantastic!! The Cut Thru's are bittersweet projects I found (did the Gypsy Wagon recently). The colours and detailing are a joy to work with, and the design lends itself so easily to doing a little bit here, alittle bit there - there is so much variety. But I found the backstitching a pain in the bum frankly.

How are you getting along with the dual chart thing? I abandoned the cross stitch-only chart and worked only from the backstitching chart. And I struggled too with the lack of overlap between pages.

Best of luck, it's a great design.

thanks everyone!!

im liking the dual chart, i colour in the background and then refer to the backstich one and highlight the lines ive done. some of the symbols though dissapear under the back stitch lines so I found it a lot easier to use both charts.

the back stich was great, all lined up with the holes until i got to the pirates face/beard, i had to make all new holes. I may get a sharper needle for backstitch, what number shall i get??

Oh no Lisa that's a nightmare  Has it touched any of the stitching or is it all on the fabric?

I'm sorry to hear about your little artist. I know I always worry when I leave my :wip: in the room with my 3 yo daughter. She usually takes the thread out of the needles on my pako organizer and then has fun with the scissors--usually with the threads and my pattern. I hope it washes out for you!

Well you are much calmer then I would have been and my little one would have been very aware of the fact that she had done a very bad thing. I hope you can cover it all up and bless your patients.
