Since I've had such good luck keeping :ribbit: away I wondered where he went. It seems a lot of people have had problems with him lately. I'm sure he'll be back to me soon so maybe you'll get a break. Until then keep stitching, it's looking great!

He was with me all day yesterday - he wouldn't just budge. Frogging and frogging so I'm back to when I have been. Thanks for all your support.

I have one question, this project have Satin and metallic threads. I was wondering if it is recommended not to stitch them as you come across them and leave them near the end or I can go ahead and stitch as I come across them. There's quite a few metallic.

Sorry about Mr Frog -- I hope he'll leave you alone from now on!

As for the specialty threads, I tend to do them as I go along and haven't had any problems with that. In fact, stitching the name plate I start each part with satin threads because that is the actual letter, and then I add the cats in stranded cotton. Try and see what you find easiest to do.

Bad frog! It must be so annoying to have to take out almost all your work!! Luckily I've only ever had trouble with little baby :ribbit: , he doesn't seem to get too big before I notice him - touch wood!

The same as Mabel I treat special threads the same as usual ones, I wouldn't want to have a load of metallics to fit in here & there at the end!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH I am so excited he is the most adorable thing. I am sorry that Mr :ribbit: is making a nusience out of himself, I will get him he has not business messing with this adorable project.

I like the other ladies will work the specialty threads right along with the regular threads.

Progress pictures are manditory on this one. :D

Gosh I hate it when you are just stitching away to only discover you made a mistake. ARGGHH!! At least you discovered it before you got too far. It's a lovely design! I can't wait to see your progress! :D

This is what I have done so far. I can see why some speciality threads can be just a bugbear for some people. The satin was so bouncy and wouldn't just sit for me and it started to fray at the ends. As metallic threads - not too bad. A bit coarse and rough and SO hard to thread through the needle.

Really start to enjoy this. Let see how long this lasts . I'm sure with the support of yous fine ladies and gents, I will have this done by the New Year. :applesauce:. As for the :ribbit: , I told him "Freddy, if you don't go away, I will get all my friends from this site to come and poke you.". Since then he hasn't shown his face.

Rose, I'll try and to update on a daily basis if I can.

Made a wee start on his hat - not much. Can't wait to get to the robin - I  robins. Yesterday, I seen a nice chart with a robin on a silver wreath. It's a beautiful pic.
