i was thinking of making something like this:

what do you think? stitch something bright and cheery for the front panel..
wouldn't that be cute? I do have a sewing maching and some basic sewing skills..wouldn't be that hard, right? lol :lol:

I think it looks a really good idea. There are some wonderful Christmassy materials available, too, for the quilted bit. Go for it.

in the american version of the cross stitcher there have been small 5x7 size brightly colored patterns, one of santa, one of a snowman..
there aren't many colors/shadin..etc..simple..I may give it a go with those two.
i'll let you know..

That is a very cool idea. I agree there are some great christmas materials out there. And the pattern look quite easy to follow.

It looks like something that could be as easy or involved as you care to make it.
I was going to design something like that this afternoon. No kidding! :lol: I finished a cross stitch design last week and bought some fabric yesterday! It is for a bill holder instead of a Christmas card holder though.
