I really do prefer your banner without all the knots. It looks less busy and so you can see more of the detail in the rest of the design.
Really nice, well done!

Thanks for all the lovely compliments. I am now a step closer to starting my first HAED as I finished my "Santa's Watching" banner and am working on my "Frangis" pattern (the last project I want to finish before I start......)

WOW! You've done so much since I last looked at this thread! The tea invites were gorgeous and the two banners you've done are lovely. The "Welcome to my kitchen" one is perfect to go with the "Home sweet home" one.

I haven't posted much recently as I have been a bit busy at work (got a new computer so had to transfer everything from my old one to my new one) and am  the dual screens

So here are a couple of progress pics on my "Frangis" project:
Taken on the 25 Nov:

Taken this morning (3 Dec):

I am hoping to get this finished by the end of this weekend and as I only have one more purplish flower to cross stitch at the bottom and the the backstitch around the bottom three and a half flowers I should get it finished!

The plan is on Monday (have taken Monday off to recover from the celebrations that we are having Sunday night for the end of ballet and my dance teacher's birthday) to start this:
