It's been years since i did a christmas picture actually at christmas, or anything with red on it, i've been itching to start this one. I got this much done last night in a couple of hours. Its sugar maple's Cashel linen Golden Turret in 28c, they'd sold out of it in 32c. Its been a while since i used 28 (14) c too, the stitches look HUGE hehe. This materials a bit stretchy as well which is a bit of a pain. (The material's actually this colour, i fiddled with my camera to get an accurate shot of it, on all the other ladies the flash has washed em out a bit.)
The only thing superglue sticks is..its own lid on.. Cats were considered gods in Ancient Times..they haven't forgotten this. "If you can keep your head when all about you are losing their's...."
Oooooo-errrrr i'm hoping the piece of material is big enough...so far it looks like i'm gonna run off the edge You'll hear me scream in Scunny if it does!

The colour of the linen is gorgeous, so warm; and I know what you mean about the stitches seeming large -- I'm doing the name plate on 36ct over two, and the occasional in-between projects I do on 28ct suddenly are so wonderfully easy to see !

No i don't sleep much Rose, and i'm sat at home alone on weekdays. Child does for herself these days and Steve's away a lot, so it's just me and Sid the muddy cat (oh, a stray thats been hanging around off and on for the past 3 or 4 years has decided to move in permenantly by the looks of. He's been back again for the past couple of weeks.) I hardly got any sewing done over the past couple of years or so, so now i'm making up forrit
I got none done on noel yesterday

..and most of the top border yesterday, working on 14c is FAST. I had to down tools over the weekend to put the xmas decorations up so didn't get as much done as i wanted. Santa of the forest is wimpering 'do me, do mee..' so i'd like to start him too over the hols.
she isn't going to run off the edge of the fabric, luckily

How much exactly did you want to do is this progress is a bit of a disappointment to you ?!? It's going great, I can't imagine getting that much done in such a short time!
Your putting me to shame!! I've not touched my mermaid for the past few days as I've been sooooo busy cooking, cleaning, ironing, putting up xmas tree and decorations. Hopefully as Im back to work tonight I can do a little when I get home and maybe get it finished for xmas??.....hhhmmmmmm...probably not!!
