Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
See, if I had kids, I would have a toy box which would no doubt be where my camera cable is hiding. As it is, I don't, so I'm gonna be stopping in at PC World on my way home from work on Thursday (payday) and then there will be more pictures

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
Finally, an updated picture
I'm now on 9,800 stitches. It's actually a lot of fun taking these pictures, it's about the only time that I actually back up and look at the picture as a whole as I'm normally just focussing on the 10 x 10 section I'm working on.

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
Only just caught up with this and WOW

I cant actually see the original picture of what it will look like when it's done but colours in it thus far as gorgeous.
What a wonderful project, you must be so proud of your achievements and what a wonderful artist your mum must have been

Moved some pictures around in Photobucket, I've fixed all the links now though so you can look back and see the original painting if you want to Mel

What a beautiful picture from an obviously extremely talented lady. What a fitting tribute, can't wait to see more pictures of this.

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
This is definitely a picture that you need to take in as a whole -- there is too much colour change when you're right up against it doing individual stitches, but when you see the whole it comes together beautifully -- wonderful!
