Some one did a very in depth posting about how to do gridding and how to do the parking method I would like to add both of those post in to the Reviews and Experience thread if anyone can find the post could you tell me what page they are on so I can move them.

I cant remember the gridding one though, apart form I know that Mags has explained how she did it a few times. Is that the ones you are thinking of Rose or was it a specific Topic just on the gridding method?

I can't remember if it was a specific thread but I do know that it has been explained very well by some of the members and it would be nice to put it in the post so that it is there and can be referenced and easy access.

those of you that buy special fabric or threads from ebay or other sites..I have no idea how much I should pay..so I'm afraid to buy..especially from ebay. Seems high to be most of the time..but maybe it should be.
So I'd like to see from those of you that buy..the types of fabrics and a price list..just a general idea of course..like a jumping start on what I should pay for linen, etc etc..color and count..size..etc.

not a HUGE list but just some common pieces..and recommendations of ebay sellers or websites where I know I won't get ripped off..

It all depends on size, count and fabric type. I would suggest going to the manufacturer's webpage or other shops and see what they are charging. From there you can decide if a price on ebay is good or not. I tend to buy fat quarters or larger and in 32 ct linen so the prices are usually in the $25 or so range. I have bought smaller cuts in groupings though on ebay for fairly good prices.

Yes, it depends on what you're looking for; fat quarters of 14ct aida start at about £3, fat quarters of 28ct jobelan are between £4 and £5, fat quarters of 28ct Zweigart linen are around £8; higher counts tend to be more expensive than lower, and generally linen is more expensive than other evenweaves which are more expensive than aida. And of course hand-dyeds, opalescents and other speciality fabrics are a law unto themselves :-).
As a rule of thumb, if you can get a fat quarter of linen for £5 or less, a fat quarter of evenweave for £3 or less, or a fat quarter of aida for £2 or less, it's a good deal.
