Wedding Sampler FRAMED

Post by minij »

Yes at last thanks to KK encouraging me I have finally started my wedding sampler for early January. :D OK so I have only done about 150 stitches but it's got me started and it is only small.

It wasn't a good start as it was late last night and I had to start by using DMC light effects and yes you've got it, went wrong straight away, however it was only a small heart in it and once I had done that it started to go better.

I can't show a pic at the moment as I have to get ready as we are going to my cousins at 9.0 a.m and will be back tomorrow evening. Also I am changing the chart a fair bit, partly to make it quicker and aslo to cut out a part I am not keen on.

Here is a picture of the wedding sampler but as I want to put their names on it I am taking out the centre initials and the bit with the rings on, this will give me space to put names and the date on. I think I might then sew the rings up higher nearer to the doves. I am also not sure about the angel faces in the bottom corners, not sure firstly if I like them or whether I might prefer them just in one light colour eg white. Also wondered about doing a horseshoe instead in the bottom two corners?

Any ideas from you clever folk welcome :)

I have made a start with the centre bow at the top but being at my cousins havn't had chance to do any this weekend but will post a picture soon when I have done a bit more

This project is absolutely wonderful. Like you I would be re-thinking the angel faces and agree that horseshoes would look nice. There are so many different little motifs that could fit in that area and I am sure that you will find something suitable.

Good luck with the stitching, it looks like one you will enjoy.

I'm not keen on the little cherubs either, horseshoes sound much nicer :) The colour of the fabric is absolutely gorgeous.

I agree that the angel/cherubs would not be to my liking the horseshoes sound goog or may be a couple of hearts or a small flower in the whites and off whites.

Thanks for those ideas folks, it looks as if you basically agree with me. I will have to try to find some little horseshoes and stitch in the light shades I think :?

It's beautiful!
I'd be tempted to go with the heart theme in each bottom corner, but I'm sure it will look wonderful whatever you decide on.

Lovely design, if it were me I would put bigger versions of the small white hearts in the top corners in the bottom ones. But then again, horse shoes sounds like a good idea too :D
