Haha, Lisa, it looks like you were online exactly the same time as me last night - I put the image link to that first picture and then forgot what I called it, so I left code half done and went back to Photobucket to check it - bet you were looking at it in that moment I was doing it

Well this morning I finished the bottom border before I came to work - loads of green backstitch and dozens of horrible little red french knots! Tonight I'm going to do Day 10. There doesn't look like a huge amount to stitch on that one and it's a smaller square than the previous ones.

Here's the beginning of Day 10. Not that much to see yet, but the rest of it isn't all that much so I should have it finished today. You can also see the rest of the bottom border in this pic, with all its backstitch and horrible french knots.

:x: The only thing I'm missing now is the metallic gold, but I had an email from the company I ordered it from yesterday saying they had posted it so hopefully it will get to me in the next day or two!

This is one of the most beautiful Christmas designs I've seen. The tiny details (french knots and beads, etc) really make a massive difference and I'm really pleased you managed to get your threads sorted. How lovely to have something to hang on the wall every Christmas :D :D :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: I do love this design although I think the necessary amount of backstitch would drive me mental!
I especially like the milkmaid's face, with it being so small & simple it's given her a really sweet expression :)

Thank you, Rose, I'm doing my best - just waiting on that darn gold metallic. Anyway last night I completed Day 10 except I haven't done the black backstitch because the character needs some metallic gold on his clothes first. I also did the top border outline in red and the top left blue and white corner.

I should get plenty of time to do this over the weekend so I'll tackle the rest of the left and top borders next and then I've only got Days 11 and 12 and the metallic to fill in. Can't wait to finish it now. I found it a real struggle to concentrate on it last night as I want to do something else now. At least I get some relief at work when I get chance to do my Predator!
