So I've set a goal on my butterfly to do one character of kanji each day. Last night I didn't have time until the WAY end of the day, so spent some time today frogging out backstitch... Note to self: DO NOT stitch when overtired...

It's been so very long since I picked my butterfly up that I didn't realize that the undone kanji is down the LEFT side, not the right, and some backstitching of the wings also needs to be done. Oh, how I love backstitching.

In other UFO news, I tried to go to my LNS tonight to get some thread to finish a piece my grandmother was working on when she died. (The Gift of Peace by Lavender and Lace). She was using a different metallic than what was listed on the key, so I was hoping to get some expert advice on what she was using. The store randomly closed an hour and a half early today, which I only found out AFTER I had already unloaded my kids from the car. So annoying.

Well, I better get to stitching so I can finish today's kanji. Happy sewing, everyone!

I have actually got Titanic back out and been stitching on it the last few days hoping to get more done on it later on

Well, my idea was to finish one piece of kanji per day this week, but I swear this blasted butterfly just doesn't WANT to be finished... Crazy bad allergies and a toddler that won't sleep have not helped. Well, better luck next month. Will try to at least post a picture of what I have later on...
