This is a brilliant idea for a topic. I only just joined today, but I have been cross-stitching for about 15 years. I missed this month's UFO week, but I will be in next month's. I have quite a few projects hanging around.

It is indeed supposed to be a tree skirt. We'll see after I finish stitching if I want to finish it off as a tree skirt or decide to do something else with it.

The santa and animals is a beautiful design! I'm looking forward to more updates .

It definitely is a fabulous design and would make a great decoration no matter what you decide to use it for. Where did you get the design? I'd love to stitch it up on a smaller count fabric

Karen - it is a Dimensions Gold Kit - I bought it in the 90's (I think - copyright shows 1998). If you can't find the kit, I'm happy to pass on the pattern (no color #'s listed - only names) when I am done - if you don't mind a pattern that has been disassembled and columns/rows numbered to my logic.

I've found 3 listed on ebay--it's called Santa's Wildlife--will keep an eye on them--may have to wait til next year to buy as I've about exhausted all of my stitching budget for the year. Thanks so much for your kind offer, I'd consider it if they had the thread numbers listed--not sure I could make enough sense out of it without numbers to cross reference

I think I am going to have to join the UFO challenge for November! There are a few UFO's in the ottoman that I could do with getting out and finishing. The main one though I think will be the mermaid that I started ages ago. Think it is a Joan Elliott one, not 100% certain on that though.

Santa looks like he's developing nicely. Maybe next UFO week we'll see a face!!!
