Not a minute after I bought it, I got an email about a sale on mini's.

I saw the sale on minis on Facebook, I got so excited I rushed straight over and brought mini Snow White And Alice..... just an hour ago I was debating with myself whether to buy it or not. I came to the conclusion that there is never a sale on minis so there was no rush. Glad I waited, I love this one..... its printing off as I type

Edited to add... yup... caved again.

min Giggles and Whispersand mini Hammock White Tiger
have also found there way onto my hard drive in the HAED chart folder. I am done hopefully for a good long while. My excuse is that it is no different than in those days when I browsed through the LNS and bought books of charts by Teresa Wentzler and other designers and never did all of them either. Right?

Great charts Carole! I love the tiger one - although I think the panda is my favourite (but that isn't a mini....yet!) - they are by the same artist as Book End Kitties. I bought the 3 minis that I have been after - DH said why are you looking at that site AGAIN! I pointed out that he has no idea what HAED addiction is - compared to my forum friends I have a very mild case!

I'm still trying to not buy the Randal Spangler storykeeps and now Mini A Good Book!!!

Did you go check the minis? They have not been on sale before.
I am hoping to be able to grid 28 ct fabric and tent stitch. I have three now as I already had mini Be Good for Goodness Sake. If not, they are minis and will go faster than full charts.

I had mini The Black in my cart, but backed out right before finishing the buy. Victory is mine!

I really need to save my next HAED buy for when/if Ophelia gets charted, as I have another BAP I plan to stitch in the near future, and 2 more HAEDs, as well as several non HAEDs, so I need to stay strong so I don't get tempted to start more stuff (can't start it if I don't buy it).

Besides, my 123 Stitch gift card should get here this week, and that was for 100 bucks, so I'll be getting a couple of charts for new starts, plus fabrics and threads for charts that are half kited up already. I'll have my stash addiction quenched soon, so I must be strong!

Good for you Laura - just think of those lovely silks! I only caved today because the minis went on sale and I knew I really really wanted them and would have bought them soon anyway - but at 35% off it was hard to resist (I haven't bought a HAED since July, I'm strict with myself too!) That and the fact that I priced up a Chatelaine I am interested in doing today and compared to that 3 minis are a drop in the ocean - I may be sticking with HAEDs for a while.......! I also tell myself the same thing especially where Chatelaines are concerned - if I don't buy it I can't start it!

I'm not that strong. But what I do when I get tempted (almost lost it just now though) is go to my stash box and pull out charts, fabrics and threads that I hope to use soon, it reminds me that I don't need one more HAED right now.

The GC I'll be using fully as soon as it gets here! Several things I've been putting on my wish list for a while now, that end up adding up to quite a bit (4 pieces of fabric, one stocking kit, 30 skeins of thread, and one Lizzie Kate and one Alessandra Adelaide).

Might I just respectfully say, you all are out of control!

But I love living vicariously through you and seeing all of these lovely patterns that you are purchasing!

For me, I just bought more on the last sale than I know what to do with, so I have no room to talk. I am resisting the sale this time around, I have enough to keep me busy for years!
