HAED sale - Who's buying what???

Just wondering what purchases people have made, are planning to make or are trying to avoid during the HAED Sale.

For me I'm trying to be good as I want to complete my set of DMC and my budget isn't great but I may not be strong enough.

I'm tempted by the Sistine Chapel but purely at the moment just so I can look at the chart!!!!!

I'm actually finding it quite easy to resist the HAED sales lately - if I see a chart I like it goes straight in my wish list so I can decide if I really really like it, rather than just having that initial "chart lust" for it! That way when a space in my stitching "rotation" actually opens up, I can wait for the sale and choose something I really really love. At the mo there are a few minis that I have my eye on (Spanglers and this handsome chap especially), but these are never in the sale anyway. I absolutely love the CCK QS chart that Michele put in the sale email. I'm thinking I may have to have that one as my reward for finishing QS Dream in the Summer reward programme, so no need to spend pennies on that one! The latest addition to my wishlist was Alice and Snow White, I do love JBG but I am being strong!

We've already been through the torment of my purchases. My Blueberry Kitten is by the same designer of the chap that Amanda is looking at. Don't think there was a mini on that one. and the mini's never go on sale so no reason to not wait. I am proud of both of you for resisting temptation. I probably wouldn't have succombed if it hadn't been for the Tabbies but I do feel sometimes its patriotic to help the economy. (I can find more excuses than anyone so always feel free to call me when one is needed!)
The Sistine Chapel design is the most amazing one I have seen though. There must be more detail in it than any other chart. I so want someone to do it so I can see its progress.

These will be practice pieces to get me used to 28ct evenweave and metallics - neither of which I've used before - before I start my first HAED BAP, which is massive. They both require 032 Kreinik #4 so I will use that for one of them and the Petite Treasure Braid equivalent (PB10?) for the other one so I can decide which one I like best.

Luckily, my birthday's in February, so the sale is very timely!

EDIT: Just noticed the Minis aren't in the sale.

Trying very hard to resist purple dragon. I've been doing a bit of model stitching lately so my own stuff has been falling behind, hence no updates recently. I've got my mum's birthday present to do by the end of March so I think I'll concentrate on that. I'd just be buying for the sake of it and I'm trying to stop buying as much stash!!!!!!

I'm not planning on getting anything either. I'm focusing on the two surprise projects for DS and DD, the HAED SAL Siberian Forest for SIL's birthday, and 2 other HAED's I've got started. Plus, I might be getting a new model to work on at any time. I've got enough to keep me busy!

This is me too. I currently own 6 charts and have barely started work on one as others projects have cropped up. I am glad that I have bought a few though as the one I have started work on is a Julie Fain design which is no longer available. I do have a further 40 in my wishlist though and every time I go onto the site I add a few more

I have two charts plus a needle threader in my cart but will probably add more - I always wait to see what new ones come out and then send my order in on the last day... So far I'm getting:

Great choice, Parksfarm! I was thinking about getting The Black but decided against it. Seeing it again here, it leapt out at me so I might have to add it to my wishlist. I'm turning into a compulsive hoarder of patterns I'll never get round to stitching!

I bought the Sistine Chapel on January 10th, the day it was released. I'd looked into the other versions of this before and had decided that if it were ever charted by HAED, I'd stitch it. Well, my fabric has been ordered and should be here next week. I've taken advantage of Michaels' 25% off coupons to get all my floss, save 3 that were not in stock. My start date is April 1st, which is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week - quite appropriate for this piece. There are other stitchers joining me in a couple of groups I belong to, and I'll post updates here as well. Is anyone else planning to stitch this piece?

As for the current sale, I'll do my usual run through my wish list and charts to see if there are any that I really, really want and would kick myself if they were discontinued. I already have over a dozen of the ones I love best, so it would really have to scream loudly!

Nice ideas all of you. I do love those 2 as well Parksfarm, but they would be stitched for friends and I have so many patterns already I need to start on. So I'm trying to resist this sale!

None for me. I ignore the sales, and the HAED site, I only visit the BB and see what you're all working on.

I got 2 going, plus the SAL, and 2 more bought but not kited. That's enough work for several years so I've vowed not to purchase anymore until I have at least one finish. My only exception is if they chart Millais's Ophelia, as it was a request I made so if it's charted I have to buy it.

Plus, there are a lot of other works out there I want to stitch that are not HAED, so I don't wanna get caught up on a big HAED rotation and not work on anything else.

So far this resolution has been working quite well, I haven't even browsed my wish list in months.

Glad I could oblige, lol... Have you guys seen the rest of the Prindle charts? They are, hands down, the best horse cross stitch charts I've ever seen. I tend to collect horse ones from all different designers and these are just so much more detailed and amazing! But they're HAEDs, so I shouldn't be surprised, lol.
