Finished the back stitch and eager to start on the next character! I admit I really love the expression on his face. For anyone who is familiar with the last 3 episodes, it does seem to be a pretty good characterization! Moving on to the next character...?

Brilliant, love it.

a new start. Only 10 more figures and the center to try to get done for Dec 24 (when we exchange gifts) or might have to wait for the end of May which is the receiver's birthday. Plodding on.

A good start! As a complete Star Wars ignoramus I have no hope of guessing who it is but I'll watch with pleasure as the character develops.

Again Carole, apologies for having no idea as to the character, but beautiful stitching.

Another 10 figures to stitch plus the main central character - wow, that's a lot of work in 5 - ish months, I'll pull up the magic bench and cheer you on.

Lovely stitching….but no guess from me yet.

Thank you for the feedback. I decided to add the characters to my “finished” list since there are so many years where there hasn’t been anything in that list. Just a long bunch of WIPS or UFOs.

Didn't have quite as much time to stitch. My sister visited last week-end. Among other things we went to see the play Hamilton. It was magnificent. And then visiting with family and friends. But busy this week after she left.



I think there is enough now for the character to show through for those who've seen the movies.

Wow your needles really are flying there Carole!

My guess for this character is Han Solo.

I could be wrong as I have only seen the 'old' movies! I can't wait to see them all together!

Sorry I have not a clue as to any of the star wars characters but wow you have done so many of these and they all look great. Any chance of an overview photo so we can see them all on the Afghan.

I’m glad you liked Hamilton. I can’t get enough of it, so I’m going to see it again, this time in California. It will be with the same cast (they have three casts touring) that I saw in Denver.

My friend who works in her church thrift shop offered me a piece of afghan cloth. No clue what I would do with it but I took it anyway.

Oooh another character - even I recognise Han Solo, only saw the first three original films, Han is so recognisable.

You are doing so well with all these Carole, you must be at least on Schedule for Christmas.

I can't wait to see the whole thing so far either.

More progress this week.



The boot on Han's right foot seemed to take forever to get the stitches right and I'm not sure I actually did. Stitching the darker colors over the loosely woven section of the fabric is more difficult, but I have to be honest and admit that since it doesn't seem to make a difference in how the overall piece looks I just gave up. I keep comparing it to the picture of the completed figure and if it looks the same to me, I just go with it.

The cross stitch is completed! Now for the back stitch which shouldn't take too long. Once that is done, I'll post a photo of the afghan progress to date.
