Note to self: Make sure the card from the camera is now in the computer before attempting to upload photos to photobucket...it's kinda hard otherwise.

Anyway, I did quite a bit of stitching on this last night and will probably do a bit more tonight after I clean up and work out. My uncle is apparently doing a little bit better day by day which is good and definitely less depressing than what we were first told.

Very cute teddies

I am fascinated by this thread, as it lets me see how another stitcher works, very differently from what I do myself. Still really don't see the benefit of working in blocks, but there must be one, since a lot of people in this forum do it. Also leaving threaded needles all over, I would be so confused as to what color was which and they would get in my way, but then I stitch in hand, so that might make all the difference.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I am making a ton of progress on this piece, and have taken a few pictures of it's progress but my laptop died so I have no way of sharing the pictures with you right now. My dad said he was saving up to get me a new computer earlier this week, but it may still be awhile since he just had to pay for new brakes for my moms car. I think I'm getting a lot more stitching done because of a lack of computer (no internet distractions) which is great for something like this where I have a deadline, but I miss having a computer all the same!

@Offe: I get plenty confused myself! It's never enough to make me change the method I use for stitching though, and I'm not stitching my eagle in blocks, that one I'm doing grid by grid and I'm actually finding that to be more confusing than stitching color block by color block! I kept messing up way too much when I tried stitching the eagle by color blocks though, so he's getting stitched grid by grid.

lovely teddy bears. what fun to stitch and you are doing such a nice job. I also like to see the different ways people stitch. I haven't done blocks or grids but can see how they could be helpful, especially in complicated patterns.

Hope your uncle is doing better also.
