See Hear Speak Love

Post by lwelizabeth »

I didn't just start another new project...not at all.

So back in October or November I saw this pattern on abcstitch.com and fell in love with it. I knew it'd be perfect for my pastor and his wife (who are expecting their fourth child), but didn't want to order from abcstitch.com due to poor customer service reviews I read here on the forums and elsewhere...but that pattern was not easy to find anywhere else! Finally found it at theartofstitch.com and it arrived on Monday, about two weeks after I'd ordered it.

Image

The chart is named "See Hear Speak Love" and is, presumably, an OOP Janlynn pattern. (Not certain about it's OOP status, but it isn't on their official site and was so hard to find that I assume it must be OOP.) I have only managed to put in about an hour and a half of stitching thus far since I had a little trouble doing the math as to how much fabric I needed, but it is coming along quite quickly! I also think I'm using it as a distraction from the fact that my uncle is in the hospital with liver failure, so prayers for my family would be much appreciated right now.

Did a little bit of stitching on it this morning, gonna go have lunch and then probably work some more on it. I'm definitely enjoying this one and can't believe how quickly it's coming together!

I also think I did miscount the height of the fabric, which means I won't have room to stitch the wording on the bottom but I can probably still manage to backstitch it in if I have to. Not really gonna worry about that at the moment though!

Started on the middle bear's yellow ribbon yesterday. Didn't do any stitching today since I woke up exhausted and had a headache (didn't get to bed until 1am the other night since we visited my uncle in the hospital.) Went back to bed a few hours later and haven't felt like doing much other than play games on Facebook. They moved my uncle to the ICU yesterday, and have said the next couple days are critical. They also asked my aunt about a DNR order, which is never a good sign.
