So your first project was self-designed -- wow :applesauce: !

I love the badger, it looks gorgeous already, looking forward to seeing it finished!

Fantastic work!! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I can't believe you've only just started cross stitching - never mind designing your own chart!! Major admiration, from me!! :D

All your stitching is great, but I have to say I fell in love with that owl. Did you make his chart too, or is it a chart that can be bought somewhere?

I am so, so so so grateful for everyone's lovely comments- thankyou all so much I am so happy!

The owl was a purchased pattern from DMC's Woodland Folk collection, called Ollie Owl. Really having fun making the Woodland Folk collection, downside is having to guess what the colours of the threads are!

Bertie Badger all finished!

Post by Lenne »

Hurrah! Bertie Badger all completed:

Image

Not too happy with the black bit at the bottom, looks very patchy. Is that normal for dark patterns? Should I use 3 threads instead of 2?
A few of the stitches look a bit wonky, but overall I adore him :D Might get some little frames for all the Woodland collection so they can all hang out together.

Here's my WIP of Frankie Hedgehog:

Image

Looks a bit like err.. nothing at the moment haha so here's a picture of what he will look like when he's done if I get it right:

Now to make myself some lunch and a nice cuppa tea to celebrate :tea:

Great to see Bertie finished and a great start made on Frankie as well.
How many of them are there altogether?

Think there's six animals in total- owl, badger, hedgehog, fox, squirrel, mouse. They also offer samplers too- I just absolutely fell in love with one and I think it would look smashing for my brother's baby's nursery!
