Final Woodland Folk critter completed, plus a cute kitten!

Post by Lenne »

Hiya! I am feeling very shy about posting my work- I started only a matter of weeks ago so it's all a bit messy and basic; hope you like regardless

Image

Made this little penguin for my Grandpa's birthday, just need to pop it in the special card :) Hope he likes.

Image

My first completed project. Sorry about the rubbish shot- I need to practise taking photographs hehe!

Image

Still a WIP; run out of the grey needed to finish his feet and still need to add the backstitching and flowers. Hopefully I can finish him Monday or Tuesday, so I can begin on the Hedgehog!

Thankyou for looking, let me know if I am making the photographs too big :)

Really good work. The penguin brought a smile to my face, he is gorgeous and so is the owl.
Looking forward to seeing the bear when its finished and I love hedgehogs.

Wonderful work - your x-stitching is lovely and the backstitching is super too. I'm sure you'd agree it's quite addictive and oh the stitchings you will will sew as you grow! (you can see the progress already on your finishes) Well done - and thanks for being brave enough to share. :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I LOVE your owl!!!! He's so wonderful and pretty! Owls are beautiful

Please, don't ever feel shy about posting your work, I can actually gurantee that your basic beginner work is better than my basic beginner work. It looks bigger too :P

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished badger!

I found an image of a cartoon penguin that wasn't too complicated to translate into cross stitch and opened it in a pattern maker, changed the colours to just black, yellow and off white and improvised the balloon bit because it didn't look right without something celebratory in there- I am not ready to backstitch letters yet so the balloon seemed the best option :)

Still have the pattern for the penguin (minus balloon) on my pc somewhere just incase I need to make him a little buddy!
