I like the look with the variegated threads. I don't get to use them as much as I would like.
You have made it very pretty.

I have finally got rpund to some stitching. I have a weekly rotation planned which willl remain a secret until I see if I can do it.
Anyway, this week I am getting back to my cross stitch a day calendar for 2010. I am on the third day! Oh well, it will keep me busy for a bit.
This is where I am at at the start of tis week's work.

Just the idea of doing the calendar is awe inspiring. I've had that calendar or something similar a couple times. I've done a couple things, but not all that much. Actually, there is one project from one of the calendars in my UFO's. It's not very big maybe 5" by 5" but it is fully stitched, no blank spaces, a trillion greens. I think I may be half way. Perhaps I'll haul it out.

Lovely finish for day 1 but  at the size - I thought a cross stitch a day meant something that could be stitched in one day! I think if I started that it would end up being a cross stitch a decade calender

For me, anything smaller than 30w X 30h is what I would be able to stitch in one day. I have a mini-motif booklet from Jan 1 to Dec 31 that I would consider as Cross stitch a Day. I also have one of the Cross Stitch a Day calendar as well. I stitched a few from the calendar but other stitching projects has been calling me to stitch them first. LOL

I agree they are a bit big. I thought they would be card sized but they are not. I don't mind though coz I thought if I just work through them I will get a huge variety of subjects and styles.

:applesauce: on getting started again. With that many different projects to get through it certainly won't be boring. This one is looking very pretty already. I looked back and remembered how much I liked what you did with the variegated thread on your start. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest.

Well I have just managed to get this one finished in its week of ratation despite a visit from :anotherfrog: 3 times on the letter R!
Image

The chart had her wings as solid full cross stitch but the picture had this more lacey effect with half stitches so I managed to follow it from the picture.

Off to pick Castes in the Air back up after a very long time. On part 6. How much can I do in a week :thinks:
