Thanks everyone

My papillon creations quaker game board has been a work in progress for some time now. I have done all the 3799  Have not yet decided what order to do the rest in :thinks:

Here is a link to what it should look like, although I am changing the purple colours for terracotta to match in with my decor.

Here is where I have got to

Lovely autumn colours in the leaf pattern!

I've seen that Quaker board finished and it's tempted me to tackle it...but so many projects on the go!

I'll just watch yours instead!

Terracotta is one of my favorite colours and will look FANtastic!

:applesauce: You are doing a lovely job and that is a beautiful pattern. I like that you are changing colors to make it more personal too. Will you only be changing the purples?

Thanks Wendy and Carole :D

Carole - yes that is the plan to just change the purples (although my favourite colour is purple/mauve and that probably attracted me to this design in the first place  ). However I will have to see how it goes when it is stitched :x: I think the sample picture is done in hand dyed threads - I am using the solid DMC colours listed on the design so it may come out a bit different.

Wasn't this one a popukar stitch a few years ago????? I seem to remember other members working this. Love that you have the outline all worked. Will be great to see what you decide on the colors!!!!!! :applesauce:

Yes Rachael (remember Rachael?) stitched it up on some lovely Burgundy material - her version is featured in Papillon Creations photo gallery. I have had it on my want to do list since then (2007).

By the way, if anyone is interested, I got my chart direct from Papillon Creations, which is a cheaper way to get it.

I've got that in my stash, and the silks to go with it -- now for some time!

Great start and good thinking to do all the dark stuff first and leave the colourful bits till last :-)!

Grrrrr !
The dmc colour for the letters 3865 really doesn't show up very well on my fabric (Zweigart platinum I think). I am going to wait and look in daylight before I decide.

Thanks everyone. :D

Well I had a real job picking a suitable colour for the letters - I needed it to be light but just a bit darker than the fabric and I tried about 10 different colours before eventually settling on 842. I am enjoying doing the little pictures - getting a great sense of achievement after every one, and I feel I am making really good progress :D

Have found one or two errors in the pattern, one I spotted before I stitched, one I didn't spot before I stitched, and of course I made an error all of my own

:applesauce: That is lovely. I really like the color you chose for the letter. don't see any mistakes so you must have fixed it perfectly. The individiual designs are really pretty. There is a very delicate or elegant feeling about this piece also. I'm looking forward to your next update.
