Thanks everyone. This is my measly update Went back to work this week after 3 weeks off.....so had lots to do. I've been stitching whilst very tired and had to unpick and re-do a peice of it
I can tell where I've been tired and I'm not entirely happy with the stitches.....but from experience I know they will look better as time goes on

Progress is still progress. You are doing great! I've yet to stitch on black, and I can imagine how difficult it can be.

same here. I admire those of you who can stitch on black. I tried it once and the piece languishes at the bottom of a drawer somewhere as it was too hard to see for me.

Here's my update.....sorry it's been so long but sometimes I have trouble e-mailing the pics from my Blackberry to photo bucket. Done quite a lot of unpicking....lol. But I'm really getting into it now......shame I'm working so many evenings next week

can someone enlighten me to what mr. means? Never heard that expression before!

Great progress. Sorry about the frogging.

Frogging is a term we use for unpicking stitiches because you have to 'rip it' (not literally though) (like the foggy sound ribbet, ribbet.)

Frogging (mr frog) is when you have to rip out stitches if you make a mistake.
Great job on what you have so far, though!

If I'm honest it's not the best work I've ever done........the centre looks as rough as old boots.....though I'm hoping it won't be as noticeable as time goes on and it grows......it's very hard getting used to stitching on black and I wasn't prepared for how much of a challenge it would be......I would like to start again now I've gotten more used to it.....but NO WAY! lol.

Thanks for enlightening me, Mr. Froggy normally visits after the rose wine has taken over the stitching......ROFL!
