Hi Everyone......I been away for so long I have missed you guys......I'm coming back with a big project. I need your support. If you look in my gallery you'll see that I'm what I call a "disney stitcher". However, I've been asked by a dear friend to stitch a wolf.....there were so many to choose from, but I chose this one
Hmmmmm...ever get the feeling you've bitten off more than you can chew
Well, I do.....but I want to do it and do it well. Made a start last night......so far so good.
I want to finish it in 6 months.....providing I show a bit of dedication I think I can do it.
This is my little start

great start. This is going to be stunning with those colors on the black fabric. I often take those "big bites" too, but this will be so worth it when you are done.
What a very lucky friend you have. I'm going to look forward to your updates.

You're in good company! I'm currently stitching one of wolves called "Devoted Soulmates"also by Dyan Allaire from kustom Krafts. Mine is going to be a gift, so I'm trying to finish it before July. ( I started it about two weeks ago) I've not posted a progress pic yet. It's on my "to do" list.
Spirit of the Wolf is a beautiful design, and you've made a great start!

Really nice design and you've started well. A lot of people stitch with a White cloth or pillow case under black fabric, but I've not worked out how you are supposed to do that if it's in a frame! But I've found that if you have the frame in the lowery frame the light shows through the holes and makes it easier.

I had this same problem when I started a project on black 28 ct. I immediately came here to ask for some tips, and received the same suggestion of putting a white cloth on my lap. It's helped a lot.
But what has helped the most is sitting by the window and using natural light. Doing that and using the white cloth makes it SO MUCH EASIER. Of course, with it being winter, that only gives me the weekends to work on that project, so that kind of sucks.

Yes....I saw devoted soulmates....it's beautiful.....but I thought I'd find this slightly easier. I looked through alot before I chose this one.....I thought it was the best for me and I'm sure he'll love it!
I also hope to finish by July because I have to ship it to the US as well

You have made a good start with this one and if you keep going at it when you can get the free time it will be done in time. Love all the colours and may I say that working on black gets easier the more you do - or at least I have found it so.
