What a lovely idea Serinde - and as they're all made from cotton there would be no problem washing them (although I don't know if they would need blocked again after washing - but even so that's not really a problem). And don't the words 'a plate of holiday baking' conjure up a wonderful image :-D

They are amazing! Great work.

I have some old pieces I found in Sweden, not this fine though, and I am planning to make them into cushions with some lovely fabric behind them. What about that idea?

I framed a couple of my mom's. They need refreshing now , they've begun to slip in the frame. They are ivory/ecru so I mounted them on a dark fabric. It is so hard to know what to do with all the "heritage " handwork. My Mother had tons and we let a lot of it go. No where to keep it. :( My daughter is going to end up in the same boat although I don't think my work is as special as my mom's. She had a lot of the finer crochet. That's what was in then.
