I'll be watching this eagerly -- but I don't think I'll join :-)

socialsue, besides putting it here you could add yours to the BoInk thread that's going at the moment as well, there's three of us doing it in various stages of completion!

Thanks.
This is going to be so good seeing everything come to life.

I bought it in 1999 from QVC shopping channel. I can't find the name of the designer on the pattern but I might still have the picture of it with the name on. The pattern number is DMC K2862. I think it's part of the V & A series. There was another smaller design with it, which doesn't feature any peacock but has some of the upper corner designs. I've not finished that either

I am joining you tomorrow - I have to finish an urgent bookmark today. Forgot to do it in time.

Now, does something that is already stitched but not finished count as UFO? If it does, I would like to work on my Victorian needlebook and put it together. What do you think?

I've done about an hour tonight and last night I sorted all the threads, which took another hour. It's really hot and I've got a banging headache, so I'm probably going to bed soon (I get up at 5 and start work at 7 am) Luckily I'm off work tomorrow so I'll probably do something on it when I get back from my appointment in the morning, and I'll also have the weekend.

I'd forgotten how much simpler it is using single colours instead of blends.

Terrible - I've not managed to get any stitching done today at all - I was too busy with appointments and things. Now that I finally have time, I'm too hot and tired, so I know I'd have to frog anything I stitching this evening. I'll leave it till tomorrow (when I'll have to wait till evening again - eek!) and start fresh. Am wishing I had the energy and concentration to stitch tonight though!

I think I will join in on this next month. The OH and I are going out of town this weekend so there will be no time to stitch from the 2nd to the 6th. I was thinking of using Chessie here since I haven't stitched on it since February so that'll be a 6 month hiatus when next month rolls around...and besides the purples and bright blues in chessie will be a nice distraction from the ongoing dark navy blue that I am stitching right now!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress in a week! :D

I am definately going to join in tomorrow as I have still got a bit of stitching to finish for work. Maggs I love your Tiger, he is stunning.
I thought this was such a good idea to stitch any UFO's the first week of the month and I thought ' I WILL find my UFO and finish it', well I knew I had a few but one in particular, off I went to find it and could I? I have a craft room and am usually quite tidy, I found xxxxx UFO's, okay more than I care to admit to, not being able to find my Puppy and Robin I found a flower one I had started about 14 years ago, oh dear, where do the years go? Well on opening up the bag guess what was inside the flower kit fabric? Yes my Puppy and Robin, so I guess I will be doing this one first. I will post a picture tomorrow.
By the way, just a thought but you guys that only have 1 UFO will soon be finished and will drop out so will not be round very long, but those who have A LOT will be herer forever! Guess we will get to know each other very well!!!
Happy Stitching everyone.

Okay so mine hasn't been discarded for very long (only 2 weeks) but for me its an UFO - the M on my Margaret Sherry Alphabet. I've only stitched the main colour of the letter and then it got discarded for my fractal. I really should get this finished this month and then the alphabet will go away maybe until next month.

Before:

I think that I've started struggling with this alphabet because while the designs are small there are so many colour changes.

I might have to join in next month with Squishy's baby sampler. The poor boy is 16 months as of today and his sampler isn't even 25% done.

I love everyone's patterns. Sarah, who designed your sampler? It's absolutely gorgeous!

The sampler (actually named CELESTIAL HEAVEN although I keep referring to the poor thing as 'that horrible horoscope sampler') was designed by Sue Cook. I'm working it on 28 count ivory evenweave, 2 over 2 with DMC floss.

I managed to get on well last night and almost finished the upper right corner as planned - running out of 3746 was the only thing that stopped me. I will try to get some on Saturday, but in the meantime I will start working my way down the right hand border.

Great job everyone.
Lisa, maybe when you finish, we could trade something for the pattern?
Keep up the good work.

It's in a bit of mess, but I'm sure I can salvage it. There's bits of sellotape and holes everywhere but it's readable, but sure.

Just hope that it doesn't take another 10 years!
