A bit later than planned but here's the first picture. I think I've done about 750 stitches so far. So only about 104,750 to go!

Kelly, the pattern is from the Scarlet Quince website.

You've made a wonderful start :applesauce: What kind of fabric are you using?

 Looks very lovely and loads of combined threads being used already too. I also was wondering what kind of fabric you are using, it's quite different!!

The fabric is 18ct aida (which SQ recommend) in natural from sewandso. The natural colour is 100% linen and it does seem to be a bit thinner and a bit more uneven than other aidas. I'm still in two minds as to whether I like it or not but I did want the canvas effect given that this is originally a painting on canvas.

Karen - I have yet to use a single solid colour  I think I'm up to just over 30 different blends in this section alone

30 colors in 750 stitches... That hurts my head... My sympathies  It's looking absolutely gorgeous though. The blending of the colors looks amazing even so soon into the design

I never would have guessed it was aida cloth as it just looks so different from what I've ever seen.

Just over half way through page 1 now. It's slow progress with the blends and confetti but there's a bit over 4,000 stitches on it so I feel like I'm getting somewhere. I also really like that the detail starts appearing so quickly.
