Just done a card for Emmas CF stand. I did it from the most diabolical kit known to man. For a start the picture showed pink and purple flowers, while the kit only contained pink thread and no colour codes for anything. Secondly, the picture had the flowers on their side, but with no instructions on which way to put the design on the fabric and no centre point indicated on the chart I figured the longer side of the pattern should go along the longer side of the aida right? WRONG, it doesn't fit into the apature the right way now! Grrrr But anyway...here's my finished effort.

Thank you ^_^ I really hate when kits just can't be bothered. I tell you, I now know why so many people go the chart only route.

I really usually won't bother with a kit--it just never seems to be exactly how I want it--but I do a few from time to time.

that's lovely, what is the point in kits if they don't show you the correct design.

Great job. Shame the kit was so annoying though.

Hope this isn't wrong to post on this topic. but, I noticed Midge has a Great Wall project going. How Cool! How large is it? There is a restaurant near me that has a huge Great Wall stitchery up. It's got to be at least 8feet by 20 feet. It's hard to judge because the room is pretty large. The stitchery is the reason I go there, just to go gaze at it. I can't remember if one of the owners worked on it or just purchased it. But, it is amazing.

To annoy me to death? I have another card kit from the same company only an orange design and I'm now afraid to start work on it in case it's as bad...or worse!!!   No more stitching for me tonight, That kit just put me off T_T So i'll knit instead...well...maybe knit is being too optimistic...mess around with wool and knitting needles is perhaps a better description :P

The shirt is great and I like your use of ribbon around the aperture of the card, very elegant!

Thank you very much ^_^ That ribbon bow was the hardest part of the card, believe it or not. It's two different pieces of ribbon and four pieces of sticky tape :P But I love ribbon frames, they look so much prettier than simple apatures.
