NEWBIE QUESTION ALERT lol

why do you leave the threads hanging in the front. I assume so that you don't have a messy back work from changing colors so much??

How do you do that..just re-thread the needle?

Yet another fantastic fractal. It is amazing the way the colours all work together in these. I should imagine they could become really addictive.

How do you do that..just re-thread the needle?

It's what's known as parking - and I tend to do it when I'm crossing over pages. The colour carries straight on on the top of the next page but I don't actually want to stitch it until I finish the page I'm on, but it seems stupid to me to finish off the thread only to restart it the next row down, so what I do is find the next stitch on the new page, do half the stitch and on my chart put a dot with my highlighter so I know which threads I have hanging where.

After staying up till 1am this morning I can now say that I have complete:
140 rows of stitching
112 complete blocks
10500 stitches
70%
4 pages!

Well after not feeling like stitching this last Thursday or Friday, I've done a whopping 3200 stitches and am now on the countdown to finishing it!

On Monday morning I only had 2826 stitches left to go so I thought well I'll try and get it finished by the time I go to stitching group on Thursday afternoon (yes that's 942 stitches a day, difficult but not impossible) however what I had forgotten was that tonight I'm going to see Rob Thomas in concert!

So today Wildflowers won't be worked on during my lunchbreak (the drive to get this finished is just tooooooo strong!) instead I'll get this down to under 1000 stitches left to go... (currently 1042 left so not a hard goal to reach.... )



The purple on the right goes right to the bottom of the design!
