Thanks ladies. I'm so glad I bought that charm. No clue what I will do with the other three in the set. There's a peppermint candy, a christmas light and a tag that says Merry Christmas on it.
I'm sure I'll find a use for them eventually.

He makes me smile too. The stitching is beautiful and the whole piece is so wonderful. The candy cane leg is so perfect and the charm makes it so unique.

Thanks for all the lovely compliments! I found the perfect frame for him at Micheal's today, so I'm looking forward to putting him in it. But I'm going to wait and get all my stitching done before I fuss with framing - as worst case I can give people the finished project and the frame.
Anyway, I started a new project today for my mom. She picked out a black messenger bag and I am stitching her a lovely peacock feather from the September '12 issue of Cross Stitcher magazine. I'm stitching 3 over 1 on 14 ct waste canvas with Weeks Dye Works "Mermaid" floss. But I might need to make a run to my LNS next week if the two skeins I have aren't enough.
I'm hoping they are, but I guess I will see.
