Brandi's Small Projects - 12/31 Belle & Boo update pg 22

Post by geekishly »

I'll be using this thread to keep track of all my smaller projects. You can see everything I made before I joined the forum in my welcome post here.

I made these two the other week:

and
Image

I mentioned in my "Grace" thread that my mom had commissioned me to work on a wedding sampler that I have to finish by this Thursday. It's a good thing I'm a pretty quick stitcher or she'd be out of luck.

Image

Started this after I updated "Grace". It's on 14 ct Lilac Fiddler's cloth. I don't know if you can even buy it any more as Charles Craft discontinued it, but my mom got it for me a few years ago and I hadn't had anything to use it for until now. She requested that it be done on purple cloth and well, I happened to still have this. The design is the big one on the cover there. I told her that depending on how quickly I finish the rest of it, I might either simplify or leave off the floral border. Guess we'll see. :thinks:

:applesauce: for your small projects. very cute. and for your start on the sampler.
It is very pretty. The border is lovely but I can see why you might need to do some simplifying to be finished by your deadline. Good luck. Looking forward to progress updates.

Thanks. Yeah, it's a pretty intense deadline, but I think I can manage it. :x: Thankfully a lot of it is backstitch lettering which goes pretty fast.

I actually managed to get a lot done today! I am altering the border some as there's just too many thread changes and gaps in the one meant for this and I want to be able to have it done so that I can work on the gifts for my dad and step-mom before we leave Friday morning to see them.

:applesauce: Lovely stitching and a lovely supervisor :kitty:. Charts are clearly a feline's favorite reading. Is that a harness for a leash? I have seen those and have seen, but very very very rarely, a cat being willing to be walked on a leash. I've seen a few in the "pet" strollers also. Mine are too old for that now, but if you started as a kitten...

Thanks everyone! I've noticed in a lot of pics on here that patterns are a :kitty: favorite reading material, and mine continues to prove this.

Carole, it is a harness meant for walking, but I don't actually take him for walks. he got out one day and I didn't have him tagged, so I needed to fix that. It took him no time at all to figure out how to get out of a regular cat collar, so I got this instead, which is actually a harness for a medium dog. and he hasn't managed to get out of it. He's a very clever kitty, fast approaching his second birthday, which happens to fall on the same day as my birthday. It was a great twist of fate that things worked out that way.
