It's gorgeous! Every time I put a deadline to a design that's how I feel... it starts to become a chore than a joy :?

Disaster!

Since I last updated this thread, a loooong time ago, things have been a bit of a 'mare round here. Firstly, a nasty bout of a recurring illness left me pretty much bedridden for a couple of weeks, and then having to go to several long hospital appointments. Thankfully I recovered pretty quickly, and got ready to pick up my stitching again. Then my brother fell on the ice in the awful weather we had a few weeks ago and completely shattered his wrist! So he was taken to hospital for emergency surgery, which ended up being a bone graft from his hip :(

Since then I've been going backwards and forwards to his house a lot as he can't do much so I'm helping out my sister in law with Christmas and entertaining his 2 very excited kids!

So, the last update on this is still as far as I am, and obviously it's no longer a Christmas present! I've still been able to do some stitching, just slightly more portable, less involved things than my huge tulips!

I've stitched these Cinnamon Cat Christmas cards, which I'd been planning to put away till next year,

and also this little piece, which I've had sat in my stash for ages, but was inspired to stitch when I found this amazing frame for it!

I'm now into Christmas overdrive so probably won't be stitching much till the New Year, but hopefully it won't be too much longer till I've got some more progress on my tulips to show you :)

Sorry you & your bro have a rough time. The cards are nice, but I hate the sampler. It made coffee spew on my monitor when I read it. :D

Jarvis, Faith, it has exactly the same effect on me! Have walked past it dozens of times now and still have a little giggle to myself every time I see it :D

Managed to get lots of stitching time over my 4 day Christmas break (I work in a bank, so I'm one of the few people left who still get bank holidays off work!) and finally managed to finish the dreaded green save for about 20 stitches on the last page. I've got another 3 day weekend coming up so hopefully will get a lot more done and will post a pic in the next day or two.

Happy New Year everyone! :partyhat:
