Finished my game board, really happy with it. Thank you to those who commented on my thread how to finish an aida table cloth - I have decided not to line it and to do an antique hem stitch, not with any drawn threads but just plain. I have tried it out on a spare piece of fabric and am happy with it. It will take me a while to do though and I need to get some more floss to do it with

I have now completed the hem and am quite pleased with it. It is easy once you get your head around it. Went with the instructions in "New Stitches" magazine on how to mitre corners and do the antique hem stitch. It was a bit of a rigmarole to do all the tacking for mitring the corners but it was very worth it.
The instructions said to do over 1 on blockweave, I decided to do over 2 and of course there was an odd number so I had to do an over 1 at the corner Not noticeable so I am not bothered.
