I love your peonies, they are looking really nice. The original is beautiful. Will you frame it or make it into something else. and my, how fast you work.

This is lovely. Pink and green are my favorite color combo. So pretty!

rcperryls wrote::applesauce: This looks so good and the colors are lovely. Paula Vaughn has some great flower designs. I did an afghan once from one of her garden books which my daughter has. Couldn't decide on which design to do so did the whole book practically.
They were a lot of fun to do. I will look forward to those and to seeing your finished peonies too. Great job.

I love Paula Vaughn's work as well! We have a cross stitching of her wishing well with the quilt draped over it. My mom did it back in 1996 and it has been hanging in our houses since! It is just so pretty!! She has also done a gate with a quilt draped over and flowers that needs to get framed. And I bet your afghan was lovely! Do you have any photos?

I think I am going to do Paula's roses from her flower pillow book (Book Eighty). The fabric and all the threads are already all put together for it and my mom said I could steal it from her hehe. She and I usually work on some of the same pieces we have the same tension and our crosses cross the same way and our backs are always just as neat as the other's. Can't tell what parts I have done and what parts she has done.

There aren't any ants in the cross stitching! But we had a peony bush in our last two houses and I always remembered that ants would crawl all over it until it bloomed and a little afterwards.

I am most likely going to frame it :) This surprisingly will be my first finish that is worth getting framed. I have started so many but never managed to finish so I am trying hard to finish what I have started this time around so I have something to show for when I say I cross stitch hehe.

My mom was so nice to stop off at the quilt shop on her way home from work to pick up my missing color :D She also bought replacements for the colors I borrowed from her lol.

but here is how far I have come:

I am hoping to finish it off tomorrow! After I do some chores of course.... :ratherbe: But on the plus side I have a Heaven and Earth pattern my friend gave me a while ago that I just stumbled upon. So I think I might do that one next instead....

:applesauce: prettier with every update. How nice of your Mom to get you the colors you needed as well as to replace the colors you borrowed and not make you go get them.

Who's Vanessa?

And I am only a speed stitcher because I get to sit around and do nothing due to back problems right now...Today I am puttering and after 10 mins of puttering I sit down and do a color on this cross stitching hehe. I keep thinking: :ratherbe:
