Alison wrote to me on Thursday thanking me again for this sampler, as she took great comfort on having it up in the house as Richard was increasingly close to death. His suffering ended at 9 o'clock this morning.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure he is in a better place and his suffering is over.

The funeral's on Tuesday and Alison has asked me to attend, I've booked Tuesday and Wednesday off work because it's around 100 miles away so I might be staying over night in a cheap hotel.
