So, as I mentioned elsewhere, my mum's best friend got married last week to her long-term partner. It's a bad time for them at the moment, they've chosen to marry now because he was diagnosed with a brain tumour at Christmas. (Great timing, right?!) So, I decided that I'd do them a wedding sampler so they can think about the good and happy things that are going on at the moment as well as the awful things.
This is what it'll look like when done (please let me know if it's not OK to post a picture like this, it is a computer simulation of the stitched piece which I've designed with various bits pulled together from the internet and my software), I'm thinking of doing it on a hand-dyed fabric though, I'm going to look in my stash to see what I've got that would fit it. The colours will be adapted to suit the fabric so this is actually a pretty rough idea of what the final piece will be like!

Hey, this is pretty! I hope the couple will really appreciate your loving effort!

Since I posted that picture I've changed colours and added a border. I'll post some progress pics tonight, I've decided to do it on 28 count ivory evenweave, 2 over 2.
