I love this design - great progress so far.

I just recently started working with specialty threads - and took the advise to keep the thread length short and never really thought to use more than a single strand. I found that 1 x 1 coverage worked out fine for my piece. Hope that helps.

Just found this ... I love  that leopard!
You've made amazing progress already, I'm going to be glued to the magic bench (with a sack of chocolate keeping my strength up) for this one!

As to the Kreinik, Lizzy has used some in her snow leopard, so she might be able to give you some advice or idea's on it.

Great work on this, well done.

This is beautiful and rather 'other-worldly'. Great progress.

If the Krenik looks too thick just use 1 strand. Im stitching on 18ct and found I have to use 3 strands of Krenik to fill the holes up lol. Use whatever looks good :)

Great progress :applesauce:

Poor you having to :ribbit: confetti stitches -- that must be one of the worst types (together with backstitch)!

I've never done a HAED so can't say what the metallics should be like on one, but I was wondering whether perhaps you got too thick a metallic? Kreinik comes in lots of varieties, and Lizzy I would say is using the blending filament (is that right?) so she has to use 3 strands to have good coverage, but #4 braid gives adequate coverage on its own on 16ct count, and very good coverage on 18ct, so could be too thick for using on evenweave over 1; which one are you using?

I emailed the HAED site and was advised to use Kreinik 032 Pearl #4 (2 strands) on 25 ct. I'm using 22 ct but thought it would be ok to use the same. But its's definitely too thick  . I'm gonna try 1 strand and hope for the best :x:

I haven't stitched any of this in days, my sister is pregnant with 9 weeks to go. She had a false alarm the other day and was rushed in to hospital, luckly the baby decided to wait a little longer but I thought i'd better stitch a card ready for his arrival, just in case he does decide to make an early appearance.

Anyways, i'm back on to this tonight so should have an update soon :)
