Just caught up with this, and you are doing a magnificent job on a wonderful design. You were concerned about your stitches earlier on in the centre. When I stitch on dark colours, I try to always "railroad" my stitches (or at least the top crossing stitch). Makes it look a lot neater and improves coverage when using light colours over dark threads. But I expect you've figured that one out by now...

No I haven't .....but it seems to be working out fine....
The centre stitches were messy due to not being used to working on lack, but they don't look so bad now the areas around them are filled in!

Looks lovely. What I do when I see lines in the middle of stitching it just take a warm iron and iron it. The lines disappear. When I'm Completly finished with my project I hand wash it, air dry it and than iron it (actually my friend at the laundromat presses it for me) and you can't tell there was any lines to begin with.
