Just been catching up with this, it's gorgeous work!!!
The shading on those thicker areas (the garden walls/hedges?!) looks so subtle, is it varigated thread?

Looks like you're not long till finishing now too!

Thank you.
The thread is hand died, Carries Creations, I bought the thread pack they offered with the chart. Even those that look like one colour have very subtle changes. I love them.
And I really enjoy stitching this - the borders are easy, you have to count carefully but otherwise nothing difficult, and the blackwork parts give a nice balance, it is a bit more challenging. I love that I can figure out how to work each pattern, what stitches to use, what direction to go etc. I remember when I first did blackwork and read somewhere that you have to plan carefully, I didn't even understand what they meant, and just did it as it came, with a lot of mistakes. I have learnt though, gradually - and it is a very good feeling :lol:
