Well, tonight it took me a while but I finally got my system down for my spooling LoL i got about an hours worth of actual spooling in but it seems to be going MUCH fast than in the begining thanks to karen telling me about her "bracelet" method I've modified it a bit and keep the working floss around my hand and it spins as i pull the floss to wind it. My eyes are getting tired. so I am going to sit in bed and stitch for a little while. And then get up in am and start the spooling again YAY.
I believe I am going to buy some more plastic bobbins....I was planning on using the ones that came with the boxes...but i just don't like the feel of them...I hate to waste the carboard ones though...feel like i'm killing trees.
i will load a pic of my kitchen table turned to flossing assembly line. LOL
you guys all take care and I will see you on tomorrow...

Okay where to start a lot has happened this week. First off I want to vent about work. I love my job, I love being a nurse. I don't mind working in the ER but the drama and bull...errr doo doo that goes on there as in between coworkers is crazy. So A few weeks ago after a bad night I had a dream that I was working in labor and delivery. (That is where I originally wanted to work, but I was under contract with the hospital that I am working with due to a scholarship they provided me with for school and we don't deliver babies.)
I told my hubs in passing that I thought I would like labor and delivery but did not think about it after that...not really. Then last weekish he came home from work. The hospital he works at does have a labor and delivery unit and said that he was talking to one of the nurses and they have positions open...Since then I have had a few dreams about L&D working.
So I went to the website and put in my application. There were openings!! So keep your fingers crossed for me and keep me in your prayers because I am three years out of nursing school and went straight to the ER. And have been there for 3 years, so it is a BIG change...and I feel very uncomfortable about change in general but I think I am being called in this direction. I have said many prayers that if this is where God wants me that he will open the doors for me. We will see!!
So anyway on to good notes I participated in the Egg Swap!!
I learned a few lessons
1. Stitching through hot glue is NOT fun.
2. Hot glue shows up some on the front side of stitching fabric.
3. Use the steam a stitch and not Hot glue when gluing fabrics together...anyone noticing a trend here?
here are some pics they are up on the Egg Swap thread as well.
Now its back to bobbin winding!!

I''ve been reading your posts and have some points:
Sullivans is an Australian brand and they also have embroidery hoops that are rectangle. That is the only product of theirs i have. Interestingly, you joined the forum on Australia Day. Then you find an Australian brand of thread
Plastic bobbins are better than cardboard ones. Use trhe cardboard ones for when you get a big kit and then you can sort your kit threads onto them and write the symbol on them. You can resuse them as well.
You have almost caught up to me in posts and I have been around long...so I suggest less posting and more bobbin winding..this way i dont feel like I am not ciontributing and you get your bobbins done. This is a win win for both of us
Your stitching is lovely and I love your enthusiasm.
Good luck with your application and interview for the new job. It''[s good to move around when you are young, i did change every 2 years but now I am oin the same place for 5 years, I am too old to be doing job interviews ect, it''s easier to stay where I am

I am on call tomorrow and already been called in and it''s not tomorrow yet. I hate advance notice, it makes me stew.

Really hope the job works out for you.
I've never used hot glue on a project, only double sided tape. Don't think I'll be trying it now either!

Tuesday Update!!
So you guys saw what I was stitching the egg I haven't worked on my sisters project since I was working on that instead I've been winding bobbins so I thought I would show pics of that progress!

here they are in number order. I wind a bunch and put them to the side then when i get about 20 I take a break and put them in the right places.

The ones I have left to do!!

and the empty skein wrappers feels good each one I put in here!!
As of now I have not gotten any news about the application I put in, I called and left a message with the unit director. But nothing back yet...I just put in the application on sunday don't know when or if I should call again. My hubs said a lady at his work gave him the number of the Nursing director of the hospital but I am afraid that would be weird to call that far up the chain...like i'm calling over peoples heads..I don't know..I am still thinking on this.
Barb
you made me laugh out loud esp the on call part. I was called in last week..a full week in advance I was stewing for a full week...but i'll be smiling when i get the call pay check haha.
I agree too about the less posting and more winding...but i am addicted...to looking at everyones progress...and then i can't help but make a comment about how beautiful it all is!! So I am guilty as charged and can't promise I will change

unless that is the posting really is bothering someone?
Take care all off to bed and start my sisters project again.
