Another newbie checking in My name is Laura, I'm 46, getting married (for the 2nd time) in 8 weeks! I've just got back into stitching after a pretty long slump, and went back to the old stitching forums I used to visit, only to find they've all gone very quiet I used to visit CrossStitch Pals and Cross Stitch Corner, amongst others. I don't really have any favourite designers at present, having just started stitching again, I'm having a look around to see what's new. I'm currently stitching a Derwentwater Designs kit called Cumbrian Village, one of my many UFO's I've picked up and started again. I used to prefer linen or evenweave to aida, but my eyesight's worse now than it used to be, so not sure how I'll get on with. Hoping to make lots of new stitching friends here

I used to live in Scotland, until 3 years ago I was brought up just outside Cumnock, then lived in Glasgow till I moved down here. My Dad lives in Kilmarnock now
