Hello from Northern Illinois, USA
I tried X-sting about 20 yrs ago but didn't find any patterns that caught my interest. I retired 2 yrs ago and recently found a X-Stitch shop about 30 miles away. They have everything and only X-stitch. I came across a pattern for a 1940 Indian motorcycle. When I was 16 I had the exact same one, red and all. Mine was a 1939 model. My dad traded it for an old car. Likely a good thing. But now I can have it again. In fact, I'm almost done. I always buy my wife a St. Nick for Xmas. She loves the painting by Nash. Scarlet Quince has it and I bought the pattern and all 105 treads. Only 78 blends in the pattern! I'm going to try it though. Love this forum. Been lurking for a while and have learned a lot. Thanks to all of you. A nice friendly community. Gary

Welcome Gary! I'm in Illinois, too.
It's wonderful that you found that pattern for the motorcycle. I hope we will get to see some photos of it! There really is a huge variety of patterns out there now -- much more than there was available 20 years ago.

Hi Gary and welcome from Melbourne Australia.
Glad you found your motor cycle again and can enjoy it. Love the sound of the St Nick one, that will keep you occupied for some time I am sure.

I just posted a picture of the Indian motorcycle I'm working on here in the "Welcome" place. Should I have put in the General one instead? Gary

That looks great Gary! Reminds me of my ex's '46 Flathead Harley!

I think we just like pictures! So no-one will complain. You could start a new thread in SAL (Stitch Along) and post pictures as you progress, so we can follow along.Gary wrote:I just posted a picture of the Indian motorcycle I'm working on here in the "Welcome" place. For many smaller completed items, we use Mini-projects in the General forum.
