A View From The Window - Updated 10/17/10

Post by pamelam »

I started a new project on Sept. 7, 2010. A View From The Window by Janlynn. The kit came with 14 ct. ivory aida, but I'm using 18 ct. instead. Here is what the project will look like

Image

This is how far I've gotten as of Sept. 12. Doesn't look like much, just the little tiny lighthouse and part of the water and the beginning of the sky.

Love this one a lot. Doing it on 18 ct is working very well. I think that you can lose yourself in this type of picture once it is up on the wall.

Thank you Rosemary! The thing that caught my attention when I first saw this was the way the curtains are billowing in the wind.

I've got the sky almost done now. It's going very quickly because right now there are just a lot of blocks of the same colors.

That's a gorgeous design. I'd love to be sitting and looking out at that right now. I see what you mean about the curtains. They'll be very satisfying to stitch, I'd think.

I like the way you've started stitching outside and are working your way inside :)
