This little project is for the vet clinic that I work for. I would like to do a cute dog one to go with it but I just haven't found one that really jumps out at me.
This is going to be done on 14cnt aida normal 2 strand stitch.
what the finished project will look like
and my progress from last night

Before I go any further with this project, I am wondering if I should use a different colour of aida? I have navy, yellow gingham, and off white.....

I agree about Margaret Sherry's designs, they are great and this one is a beauty - not seen it before.
As to the colour of fabric, I guess it depends on what you would feel comfortable with as well as what colour wall it would go on. If, as is often the case with clinics, the walls are white, you might like to stitch this on a coloured fabric. Maybe the navy would be too dark against the cats fur but a soft blue would look great I think.

Super cute kitty!!!!!!!!!
As for the color of the aida. I would look at the wall and see what will go well with where is is going to hang.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

funny you should say that, our walls are actually a pale pale blue. I think (so I don't have to start over) that I will stitch in a light purple back round 1 strand half stitch to get Kitty to stand out from its white fabric.

Me too. It will give you flexibility in choosing the exact right colour for your background.
