Calling all pattern makers!

Post by dwitt »

I have a request.... kind of unusual... maybe not that unusual. Anyway, I am an auditor and I want to stitch a accounting themed sampler for a co-worker whose birthday is right at out Federal Income Tax deadline. I want to use the saying

"In God we Trust,
... all others we audit."

I thought about using a border of the mathematic symbols of + - x and /. I would also like to maybe put a calculator in the 4 corners.

The only problem is that I don't have pattern making program and can't draw to save my life. I just want to be able to make this for a friend and maybe myself.
So here goes..... HELP!

PLEASE HELP!

Just the word audit and federal income tax make me nauseated. I can't make patterns and even if I could I would be afraid the jesting would some how curse me and then I would get audited.

So I suggested maybe someone overseas chart this? LOL

MaeMae you are too funny! We just about ourselves all the time! Ironically enough we don't even do anything with income taxes. We audit nursing homes. My friend got the quote from another co-worker and friend that just retired :) We thought it would look perfect next to her CPA license and would be a great b-day gift too!!!

I'd love to have a go at designing something, but my laptop has just completely died and my new computer won't arrive till next week. Once I've downloaded the programme again, I can easily have a play around and see if I can come up with something. I can't promise anything spectacular, but I can give it a try if you want. :)

What's the birth date? And how long before that date would you need it?

I love it! Great work, Skitzzz!

Just one tiny suggestion: after the 4x5=20 you could put a question mark - after all, everything is relative, right? Especially in book-keeping

skitzzzzzzzzzz I hope your mom is ok! And you right.... we are all humans and make mistakes. Another great thing is that as your friend we can overlook the silly stuff and be there for you to lean on :)
