Dragon Droppings Finished 5/28

Post by Busy_B »

Hey everyone! I decided to go ahead and start a SAL for the model I've been working on since July. I'm enjoying working on it, but I could use some motivation for the border area since it's a lot of metallics.

The first picture is of the middle 4 pages that I finished in mid-January.

This is the top of the pattern. This picture was taken in mid-February. I've gotten more done since this picture, but I haven't had a chance to take an updated picture. I need to get through the next couple of days before I get the time most likely.

The sparklies in the border are gorgeous! What metallic threads do you use for them?

Oh wow!! That is so stricking looking!! I don't envy you having to use so much metallic thread - but it looks absolutely wonderful and will be worth every stitch!! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

The designer sends Kreinik to use. Most of the metallics are either one strand metallic with 2 DMC or 2 metallic with 1 DMC. I definitely use the thread heaven, and they don't give me a problem.

Well, it will be a while before it's finished. I just do the stitching and then send it back to the designer. She prefers to do all of the backstitch and beading herself. I'm really hoping to have it done in the next 3-4 months, but it depends on other things going on in life.

Lovely pattern and if you need to motivate yourself with the border why not reward yourself with some stash once you finish it. I'm sure there's something out there that you would really like to get.
