2011 Projects

I have way more kits to start than WIPs (mostly as a result of buying lots shortly after joining this forum last month!) but thought I'd post my progress on the one I'm working on.

There are 3 I'm planning to do which will hopefully all look good together and are in the same comic book/pop art style. Sometimes I wish there was more variation in the colours but at the same time there are several different whites and creams and I'm not entirely convinced that makes much of a difference!

I'm doing a ski season at the moment and it's pretty expensive to live here so this is keeping me entertained on the nights that I stay in - I only brought one needle with me though so lots of re-threading is involved with the parked threads. Looking forward to getting to the lips and teeth and reading these threads is making me want to finish all the more quickly!

So I'm about to leave France to go back home to the UK, very excited! Anyway, it seemed like a good time to post an update on this:

I've really enjoyed sewing this recently, the lips and teeth have been brilliant to do and I'm really liking the way it's turning out. I can't quite believe I'm only half way through though! Also, once I'm home I'm going to start working on some mini projects I want to do so progress may well slow down.

Now that I'm home I've started on the Emily Peacock Kiss cushion. Loving it so far, it's really easy to do which makes a nice change from my Green with Envy project as I'm not stitching on dark aida or only sticking to a few colours. I haven't done much so far:
