As I have a finish a day after a stitching update I decided to make a separate Hardanger thread. I am hoping to do more hardanger stitching along side my cross stitch projects. This is my first ever tassle
This was great fun to make, the hardanger stitches up so quickly, it is a change of pace for me,from my cross stitching.

It is really beautiful. I can't wait to see more of your hardanger, it looks like you have a flair for it.

Thank you Karen
The main hardanger design comes from Mary Hickmotts Easing into Hardanger book. I just did my own design in the middle and backed it with some lilac fabric. The outside is from a small blackwork piece I found in Cross Stitcher magazine a long time ago, which I have always wanted to use in a bigger piece of work, and I added the red cross stitches to it because I have this lovely red perle no. 8 thread I wanted to use.
I have been unsuccessful in getting much time to stitch my Memorial Rose this last week so I decided to make this over the weekend, as it is quick to stitch. It is my own design and I have personalised it for my friend's daughter and her husband to be, with their initials. Details of the materials I used and finishing are on my blog.
Hopefully I'll have a Memorial Rose update next week because the first week of June will be upon me before I know it, and it'll be UFO time!
