Help with color key Threadbare Teddies Jeannette Crews

I purchased Threadbare Teddies of Jeannette Crews Designs about a year and a half ago. I have misplaced the cover but I still have the cross stitch chart. One of the symbols is not on the color key I have and I was wondering if there were universal cross stitch symbols or if they are specific to this pattern? I was also wondering if the chart I'm looking for was on the cover, is that possible?

I have never heard of any international symbols and doubt there are any. Symbols are usually design specific. Occassionally a book might use the same symbols for different designs, but even then not always. It is possible that the inside cover may have had some symbols but I also don't think there would have been just one symbol missing. It could have been a misprint. You might try contactin Jeannette Crews Designs and see if they can provide some assistance. I don't have that chart though I do have some Jeannette Crews Designs I have done in the past. Maybe another forum member does. Can you figure out from adjoining colors what the symbol may be? Sometimes if it is in a sequence of colors you can make a fairly reasonable guess.
